All uphill users must abide by the following:

  • Uphill users must complete the Winter Uphill Access Pass agreement and waiver each year.
  • Beaver Mountain Ski Resort will issue a reflective armband when purchasing the Uphill Access Season Pass. The armband must be worn and visible when on the hill or when transitioning from the parking lot to the slope. New armbands will be issued yearly, but the current armband must be worn when participating in uphill travel.
  • The uphill traffic pass is valid for only one season and does not authorize recreational use or other use of Beaver Mountain Ski Area. Participants must sign a release form each season and are issued a new armband.
  • Participants are allowed to travel uphill before, during, and after the season. Uphill participants assume all risk and responsibility for their safety outside of operating hours. The ski area should be considered “backcountry terrain,” with similar precautions taken.
  • Once the mountain opens for the season, anyone traveling uphill, whether during operating hours or not, must do so on the designated route. The designated route up the mountain is as follows: Out of the base area, ascend the Deadhorse run on the skiers’ left side. At the junction of Deadhorse and Blind Bull, take the lower of the two catwalks across to Gentle Ben.  Continue up Gentle Ben on the skier’s left, going around the group of trees towards the boundary line in the “burnt trees”.  Continue this route to the top of Harry’s Dream—view Map.
  • Participants should be aware that while resort and safety personnel are not scheduled, grooming machines and snowmobiles will operate during nonoperating hours, preparing and maintaining the hill for downhill business. Unauthorized motorized travel is prohibited on the mountain in preseason or during the season.
  • The uphill user is responsible for avoiding all machinery, including but not limited to grooming equipment, snowmobiles, snow removal equipment, or anything used by the mountain operations team on the hill or in the parking lot. If your path of travel, either uphill or down, takes you in the path of any machinery, it is your responsibility to get out of their way. Do not expect the machinery to go around you.
  • Do not ski/ride on freshly groomed runs! Soft corduroy must be allowed to set up after it has been groomed.  If you make a turn in newly groomed snow, the tracks will freeze, leaving a hazard for other guests.
  • Only stop where you are visible from above and below—no stopping on the crest of steep pitches.
  • Please be conscious of snow removal efforts in the parking lot. Uphill traffic parking will only be allowed in the lower parking lot, along the lower side of the island of trees —view Map. Please park like lines were painted in the lot, and do not leave empty spaces between cars.
  • Pets must be leashed in the parking lot and around the base area. Please clean up after your pet. Pets are not allowed on the hill during operating hours.
  • Lost armbands can be replaced for $25.
  • Skis, snowboards, and snowshoes only, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Participants must sign the Uphill Traffic agreement to acknowledge understanding and willingness to adhere to these rules.  Non-adherence will result in the loss of uphill privileges.
