Common Ground Outdoor Adventures (CGOA) is a private non-profit organization that provides adaptive lessons at Beaver Mountain Ski Area. CGOA is dedicated to improving the lives of youths and adults with disabilities through outdoor recreation.
Located slope-side at CGOA’s mountain office, The AMK Foundation/BIO-WEST, Inc Adaptive Center, the organization offers adaptive snowsports opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Programs are designed to build self-confidence and self-esteem by overcoming perceived limitations in winter snow sports. CGOA offers one-on-one instruction and group lessons using adaptive equipment and techniques. Lessons are catered toward the needs of people with physical, developmental, cognitive, and visual disabilities and taught by instructors specially trained in adaptive techniques. Instructors adhere to the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) standards.
