The Beaver Mountain
Snowsports School is a member of the
Professional Ski Instructors Association of
America
and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors.
Instructors are carefully selected for their strong
teaching skills, friendly personalities, and passion
for snow sports. The Snowsports
School provides a variety of options
for advancing your skills and increasing
your enjoyment of the sport.

Learn-To-Turn (beginner package)
This is a great package deal for
people who have
never skied or boarded. Minimum age for
ski lessons is 7 and minimum
age for snowboarding is 9. Cost is
just $50 and includes rental equipment, a
Little Beaver Lift Ticket, and
a group lesson. Lessons begin at
10 a.m. daily and again at 1
p.m. Saturday and Sunday. You must arrive
and sign up by 9:30 or 12:30 to guarantee a
space in the
lesson.

Private Lessons
Private lessons are
available in hourly increments and are often available on a walk-in basis, however,
reservations are recommended and may be made at
the Mountain by calling (435) 946-3610, extension 1.
There is no minimum age requirement for private
lessons.
Prices for Private Lessons
$50 for 1 hr, $15 for each additional
person;
$85 for 2 hrs, $20 for each additional
person.
$120 for 3 hrs, $30 for each additional
person.

Mountain Adventure, Pre-race, and
Extreme! 2008 (children's Group
Classes)
The Mountain Adventure is a popular weekend series of
lessons are for skiers of at least 5 years of
age and snowboarders who are at least 7 years of
age. Mountain Adventure classes are
divided into 6 levels from beginner to all
mountain.
Pre-Race is a new group developed to introduce racing technique to students. This full-day class will include time in the race course and all-mountain skiing.
Extreme! is a program for
young skiers and boarders who are expert in all
terrain. Participants must be prepared to
ski and ride compentently through the trees, in
the terrain park, through the deepest moguls and
powder, and take on the race course.
First session: January 5/6 - January 26/27
(4 weeks)
Half session: February
2/3 - February 9/10 (2 weeks)
Second session:
February 16/17 - March 8/9 (4
weeks)
Registration closes
at 5:30 on the Wednesday (not Friday) preceding
the session. Classes are often filled
so please register early. |

A late registration
fee of $5 will be charged after the Monday that

junior passes for children 11 and under are

conjunction with Mountain Adventure and Extreme!

in the downtown office at 1351 East 700 North
(next to Fredrico's Pizza) or at the mountain
office.

Snoopy Carnival 2008:
The grand
finale of the the youth program is the Snoopy
Carnival complete with races,
obstacle courses, food, an Easter egg hunt, and
other events that are very popular with
kids and parents alike. The cost is
$25.00 and
will be held on Saturday, March 22.

Wee
Ski Program
This class is for children
between the ages of 3 and 5, with a parent/gaurdian,
and alternates between Monday mornings and afternoons. Children are introduced to the fun of skiing and playing
in the snow while showing parents how to best help their children. Cost is $25 and
includes. No lift ticket is required for parent or child during the lesson.

Beaver Mt. Ski Team
The ski team is
for youth who are committed to racing.
The team trains all day Saturday and Sunday, although skiers
may choose to attend only one of
the days. The cost is $350
for January - March regardless of the number
of days the skier participates. The
team will travel to selected races and
also participate in races at Beaver Mountian. |

Wild Women Ladies' Specialty Clinics Each clinic is just $40 and includes a
light breakfast, group lesson, and
lunch. Lift tickets are not included. Meet
at the Yurt in the upper parking
lot for breakfast bet`n 9:00 and 9:45 am,
lessons begin at 10:00 am. Ski and
snowboard lessons are
offered. Please register by noon on
the preceding Monday at the Logan office
or at the mountain snowsports school. Call
753-0921 for more information.
